Instrument Rust and Stain Remover - 500ml Bottle x 1
Box Quantity: 1 x 500ml Bottle Surgistain®
effectively eliminates water mineral stains, rust, and corrosion from stainless steel surgical podiatry and nail instruments quickly and safely, often within just 10 minutes. It is a fast, non-corrosive revitalizing solution that tackles all forms of water mineral staining, rust, pitting, and corrosion on stainless steel surgical & beauty tools, trays, basins, and trolleys. Routine use of Surgistain® as part of the Ruhof System can lead to significant savings by extending the life and efficiency of your instruments, thereby reducing repair and replacement costs. When used monthly alongside our enzymatic cleaners, Surgistain® can restore the instruments' original finish and improve articulation by loosening box joints. It also helps prevent damaging pitting on the edges of micro instruments.
CAUTION - DO NOT USE ON CHROME OR SILVER PLATED INSTRUMENTS,
including trach tubes, malleable ribbon retractors, uterine sounds, malleable gallbladder scoops, and dilators.
Directions For Use
For Stainless Steel Instruments:
- Combine 1 part of Surgistain® with 7 parts of hot water.
- Pour the solution into a non-porous container.
- Carefully submerge clean, opened instruments into the solution to avoid splashing for 15 minutes.
- For heavily stained instruments, soak for 30 minutes.
- Remove instruments from the Surgistain® solution.
- Rinse thoroughly.
For Stainless Steel Trolleys and Trays:
Mix 1 part Surgistain® with 7 parts of hot water. Wear gloves, and scrub the thoroughly cleaned cart or tray using a hard bristle brush and the hot solution. Rinse with water. For heavily stained instruments, soak for 30 minutes. Trolleys may need towel drying if washed manually.
