To take off make-up, massage the balm onto a dry face, hold a flannel run under hot water over the face so the steam lifts it, then wipe it away; a muslin cloth adds a little exfoliation. As a moisturiser, rub a very small amount between your fingers and massage it in; as a primer, use a little and wait a moment before foundation. It can be used near the eyes. Not for children under 3, or for anyone allergic to the daisy family. Patch test first.

The unfragranced version of Lyonsleaf's Beauty Balm, made for people who may be sensitive to essential oils. A water-free face balm of plant oils and herbal extracts and nothing else, used three ways: to take off make-up by the oil cleansing method, as a moisturiser, and as a primer under make-up or mineral sunscreen. Choose the new formula with organic beeswax or the vegan formula, as a 60 ml glass jar or an 8 ml sample.
Free from preservatives, emulsifiers, colourants and artificial fragrance. For all skin types. The new formula contains beeswax; the vegan formula does not. Handmade in the UK; glass jar and metal lid in a cardboard box, all recyclable.
